Sunday July 11, 2004 I-90 back to Chicago burbs... Back to Illinois traffic. Got I-PASS? Got home and started the mega-loads of laundry. Still working on all the digital pics and DVD video.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Sunday July 11, 2004 Welp, time to make the last leg of the journey back. We left the Interlaken and headed south on Route 12. Stopped at Walker Brothers Pancake House for a late breakfast. Kept on Route 12 and before we knew it, we were back in the familiar traffic near Woodfield mall. I dropped of Karen at her condo, beginning the process of clearing the back seat of the car. We had a lot of stuff back there! Gifts for family and friends; maps, water bottles, unmailed postcards and just stuff left over from 3800 miles of driving. The car was coated in a thick layer of road dust. We were tired, but happy to be back after sixteen days on the road. Now on to downloading the cameras, finalizing the DVD's and many, many loads of laundry!
